Attention RNs who were initially licensed in Ohio on or between November 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019 -- you are required to renew your license this year. This year’s renewal period has already opened on July 1, 2019 and it will stay open through October 31, 2019.

CE Requirements

As a licensed registered nurse (RN) in Ohio, you must complete twenty-four (24) contact hours of continuing education during each licensure period. At least one (1) of those required contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules (Category A).

The remaining contact hours can be taken in any course that you feel will help you in your particular nursing specialty.

You can check out these courses from our Ohio CE Bundle to meet your Ohio RN CE requirements:

  • HIPAA Compliance (2 hours)
  • Nurse's Role in Procedural sedation (2 hours)
  • Ohio Nurse Practice Act (1 hour)
  • Domestic and Community Violence (3 hours)
  • HIV/AIDs (6 hours)
  • Mental Health for Veterans (2 hours)
  • Human Trafficking (2 hours)
  • Geriatrics (2 hours)
  • Cultural Competency (2 hours)
  • Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma (2 hours)

Once you pay for your bundle, you'll be able to take the assessments and earn all of your completion certificates.

Happy renewing!
