What Are Alabama's Nursing CE Requirements?

 

As a RN and LPN in Alabama, you are required to complete 24 continuing education hours every two years. 4 contact hours of Alabama Board–provided continuing education related to Board functions, the Nurse Practice Act, regulations, professional conduct, and accountability is required for the first license renewal.

If you are a NP in Alabama, you are required to complete 24 CE hours every two years. A minimum of 6 of those hours must be in pharmacology.

The remaining CE hours can be taken in any course that you feel will benefit your career and education.
