What Are the District of Columbia's Nursing CE Requirements?

Many states in the U.S. require a certain number of contact hours for license renewal. As a RN in the District of Columbia, you are required to complete 24 CE hours every two years. As a LPN, you are required to complete 18 CE hours every two years. If you are a APRN in the District of Columbia, you are required to complete 24 CE hours every two years. 15 of those 24 CE hours must be in pharmacology. The remaining CE hours can be taken in any course that you feel will benefit your career and education.
